The MuCEM

Located 30 minutes from Aix-en-Provence, the Museum of Civilizations of Europe and the Mediterranean is the only major museum devoted to the Mediterranean.
Suspended between sky and water, floating at the entrance of the Old Port of Marseille, the MUCEM deploys new footbridges. Opened on the sea, this museum is by its location a great project for the Mediterranean which it redraws the horizon.
Beyond the collections, the MuCEM aims to function as a forum, a place for debates, where reference presentations and temporary exhibitions revolve around major social issues
